For more than 25 years, I threw pots, ran an arts center, and taught adults. I have spent my life working in the arts, running a facility, and working with people. Teaching and helping people pursue something that brings them joy has always been at the center of what I do.

Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I trained and showed my own dogs, competed in agility, and learned early that the bond between a dog and the person who loves them is one of the most honest relationships there is.

Then life handed me something conventional support could not fully reach. I followed the prescribed path. It helped. But it did not get to the bottom of it.

That search led me to the Four Winds Society, where I earned multiple certifications in Shamanic Energy Medicine.

What I learned is that lasting change requires working at the source. Not the story. Not the behavior. The root beneath all of it. Like a weed in the garden, if you only take the greenery, it comes back.hat 

And then my own dog showed me exactly what that meant. 

Murphy Brown was my Australian Shepherd. Thunder phobic her entire life. Fourteen years of watching her spiral into a panic severe enough that she could hurt herself. I had tried everything.

When I was introduced to AO Scan technology, I was cautious but curious. Then a thunderstorm rolled in and I decided to try it with Murphy Brown. Then a second storm. By the third, she settled at my feet instead of needing to be crated.

If this could reach a dog who has no idea what I am doing, who cannot be talked into or out of anything, who cannot have a placebo effect, what else could it do?

That question changed everything.

The AO Scan was doing exactly what my shamanic training had always pointed toward. Working at the root level, where real change begins.

Today I work with devoted dog owners who have tried everything and are still managing life around their dog's challenges instead of enjoying life with their dog. I have watched families fracture and dogs get rehomed simply because people ran out of options. That does not have to be the ending.

I also work with individuals and wellness seekers through AO Scan as a standalone tool, with or without any connection to dogs.

And I continue to do shamanic energy work with individuals, because that foundation remains at the heart of everything I understand about how real change happens.

Whisper, my current rescue dog, came home with her own history and her own fears. She is still teaching me. I do not think that ever stops.

I also volunteer AO Scan support with a local rescue organization, for their dogs and the broader work they do.
